Antipasto squares

This appetizer is made with layers of cheese, veggie slices (meat substitute) and roasted bell peppers inside a crescent roll crust.

Ingredients:

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent dinner roll
  • 4 slices of veggie slices (meat substitute)
  • 4 slices of vegan cheese 
  • 2 roasted red bell peppers
  • Pepper to taste

Directions:
 

Preheat oven at 350F. Unroll the crescent roll dough and cover the bottom of a 1 ½ quarter loaf pan with half of the dough.
 
Layer the veggie ham, cheese and red bell pepper. Repeat once more time.
 
Cover with the remaining dough. 

Brush the top with a bit of any plant milk.
 
Depending on your oven, cover with foil and bake it for 20 minutes in the preheated oven. Remove foil and bake another 10-20 minutes or until golden brown.
 
Cut into squares. Serve warm or at room temperature.
